Sofiia Vaida

My name is Sofiia Vaida, and I have recently graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Management. During my studies at the university, I got interested in international education and career building. In 2022, I participated in the Summer Work and Travel Program in the USA, which shaped my interest in getting an education in the US. Therefore, I started seeking opportunities, which eventually led me to the Global UGRAD Program. Global UGRAD gave me a chance to study at the University of Montevallo in Alabama. After returning to Ukraine, I became an Ambassador for EducationUSA in Ukraine. As an Ambassador, I led educational and community outreach initiatives aimed at empowering school and university students to pursue higher education and advance in their careers, through developing practical skills such as writing motivation letters, creating CVs, filling application forms, and researching scholarships. During my last year at the university, I was working as a Grant Manager at the CO "Ukrainian Education Platform", gaining practical experience and contributing to building a civic society in Ukraine. After graduation, I flew to Canada to conduct research in Supply Chain Management under the Mitacs GRI Program. Currently, I am working on getting into school either in the UK or in the USA to pursue my Master's degree in Management.
