Anastasiia Yevsikova

My name is Anastasiia Yevsikova, and I am a Ukrainian student committed to social justice and European integration. I was born and raised in Toretsk, a frontline town in eastern Ukraine, and my life has been shaped by displacement since 2022. During the full-scale invasion, I continued my studies while living as a refugee in Poland, moving multiple times before finding stability. I recently completed my Bachelor’s degree in Economics with a focus on Economic Cybernetics at V. N. Karazin Kharkiv National University. Despite the challenges of displacement, I remained dedicated to my education and growth, earning two Erasmus+ scholarships to study in Poland and Croatia and attending the Copenhagen Business School Summer School. These experiences strengthened my intercultural understanding and expanded my knowledge of European policy and community resilience. Outside my studies, I have been actively involved in volunteering and mentoring Ukrainian youth abroad, helping them navigate higher education opportunities while staying connected to their roots. As part of ESN Ukraine, I have had the honor of representing Ukraine internationally, supporting students during their exchanges and fostering a sense of community. I am passionate about gender equality and ensuring that underrepresented voices are included in decision-making. My goal is to pursue a Master’s degree in Public Policy or International Relations and graduate with distinction. I hope to contribute to positive change for Ukraine and Europe by working within European institutions such as the European Parliament or the European Commission, helping to strengthen democratic values and social resilience. Fluent in English and actively improving other languages, I am committed to lifelong learning and leadership grounded in empathy and service. I believe that small, consistent actions can lead to meaningful change and help build stronger, more inclusive communities for all.
