Laba Tetiana

Tetiana Laba is a political scientist and analyst specializing in political culture and national identity. She holds a BA in Political Science (Ethics-Politics-Economics) from the Ukrainian Catholic University, graduating summa cum laude. Her thesis explored the formation of the Ukrainian political nation through the lens of modern women's poetry. Tetiana has over four years of experience in the public, non-profit, and academic sectors. She currently serves as Head of the National Identity Department of the Youth Council under Ukraine’s Ministry of Culture and Strategic Communications. In this role, she has contributed to national strategies such as the National Youth Strategy 2025–2030 and the Culture Development Strategy 2025–2030, and has represented the Youth Council at national and international forums. Her work includes delivering public lectures on national identity, civic engagement, and Ukrainian nationalism. As an analyst at the Frontier Institute and the NGO “Free Choice,” Tetiana produces research on civic needs, national identity, migration, and cultural policy. She has led data collection efforts and authored evidence-based policy recommendations. At NGO “Tysha” and the OneUkraine Foundation, she coordinated a large-scale UN Women-supported project, authored the organization’s GESI policy, and managed reporting, donor communication, and M&E processes. She is the recipient of several competitive scholarships, including a full Erasmus+ grant to study at Palacký University in the Czech Republic. Tetiana has published articles and policy papers on topics ranging from refugee civic engagement to gender and cultural memory. She is fluent in Ukrainian and English, and conversational in French.
