Sofiia Kashuba

My name is Sophia Kashuba, and I am currently a Political Science student at the Ukrainian Catholic University, as well as a Board Member of NGO “Youth Portal Buchach.” My specific focus within the organization is strategic development and ensuring that we follow our strategic objectives effectively. Previously, I served as the Head of the NGO. Since 2020, I have been actively engaged in the public sector of my local community in Buchach, Ternopil region, as a member of the NGO “Youth Portal Buchach,” I have initiated and led several projects, including the creation and coordination of project “The Lost Weekend”, a two-day Youth Forum Buchach, and the organization of two military training camps. In the 2023–2024 academic year, I co-founded and led the Student Initiative Group at my university. This group focused on improving the quality of education in our program, communicating student feedback and proposals to program leadership, and supporting the implementation of key initiatives. During the 2024–2025 academic year, I also participated in an Erasmus exchange at the University of Tartu. This experience had a significant impact on my personal growth and worldview, and it further strengthened my desire to contribute even more to the development of my country. Additionally, it provided me with valuable experience of studying in a well-structured and high-quality educational environment. My life’s mission is to contribute meaningfully to the development and reconstruction of Ukraine. I strive to think strategically in all areas of my work and plan to continue my professional journey in the field of Public Policy to help shape Ukraine’s future. My key interests include system-building and the development of effective public institutions that attract and retain highly qualified professionals.
