Brave Generation Fellowship Program
Brave Generation Fellowships is an eight-month program that equips Ukrainian youth with an international education, leadership skills, as well as global networks. Launched in 2022, the program prepares participants to become the next generation of leaders spearheading Ukraine’s recovery and shaping its future. networks.
Who We Serve
We support high-potential Ukrainian youth from war-affected and underserved communities who face the greatest barriers yet also show the greatest drive to rebuild their country–often revealing leadership through small but meaningful acts of service.

They’re already making a difference in their communities—through school initiatives, support for the vulnerable, animal care, and local innovation—demonstrating a deep commitment to rebuilding their country.
Readiness to Learn
Currently in school or independent study, participants already begin with solid English-language skills and we support their growth each step of the way.
Where Support Becomes Direction
At Brave Generation, we know no two participants’ stories are ever the same. Each young person arrives with their own experiences, struggles, and dreams. We listen first, then shape support around what’s needed for each individual.
Program Benefits:
One-on-One Mentorship
An eight-month, one-on-one mentorship program pairs Fellows with students from top U.S. universities—future American leaders—who help them through the international application journey, offering guidance, encouragement, and confidence to aim high.
Personalized Application Guidance
We guide participants through the application processes to universities, scholarships, exchange programs, and fellowships. So far, they’ve earned over $16.5 million in scholarships, unlocking opportunities once thought beyond reach.
Mental Health & Well-Being Support
Because of the unique challenges many of these students face, we prioritize mental health to help participants build resilience and thrive. Support includes one-on-one therapy, group sessions, as well as practical tools to stay grounded daily.
Inspiring Social Environment
A close-knit Fellowship community bringing together Fellows and American mentor volunteers to learn from one another and support the next generation of leaders committed to Ukraine’s recovery.
Gateway to Exclusive Opportunities
Selected Fellows gain access to exclusive events, internships, and leadership opportunities. Past engagements have included the Ukrainian Parliament, a Nobel Peace Prize-winning organization, as well as private conversations with former ambassadors, policymakers, and senior public leaders.
Removing Barriers to Academic Dreams
When financial obstacles stand in the way, we step in on a case-by-case basis—helping cover exam fees, application costs, and, when necessary, travel so students can begin their studies abroad.
