Sofiia-Mariia Prokopiv

I am a student of International Relations passionate about youth empowerment, education, and international cooperation. I have participated in academic exchange programs in Taiwan and Poland and completed internships at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine and the European Union Centre in Taiwan, focusing on EU-Ukraine relations and public diplomacy. For over three years, I have been actively involved in the "Young European Ambassadors" initiative, where I now mentor new members, helped organize the Ukraine-European Parliament Youth Model 2023, and led the Gender Equality Committee. Alongside this, I serve as a program manager at IFLRY and have participated at the Female Leadership Academy in Asia, promoting inclusive leadership among young women. My international experience includes several Erasmus+ youth exchanges, participation in seminars and training programs on civic engagement and democracy. Recently, I took on an active leadership role in the Liberal Democratic League of Ukraine, where I am committed to supporting Ukraine’s path to victory and rebuilding through democratic values and youth engagement. In line with my dedication to sustainable development, I led a project within the SDG Ambassadors initiative with SCR Ukraine, working on Goal 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy) to propose solutions reducing bird mortality caused by wind turbines. Since 2016, I’ve been an active volunteer with the international humanitarian organization Malteser, supporting children in orphanages, youth with disabilities, and cancer children.
