Olha Vlasenko

My name is Olha Vlasenko. I have recently graduated Applied College "Universum" of the Borys Grinchenko Kyiv Metropolitan University with a degree in Management. I’m truly passionate about the learning about business, international security, and innovation. I’ve always believed that real change begins with action that is why I’ve combined my studies with practical experience. I dream of launching a company in the defense-tech sector that develops AI-based air defense systems capable of monitoring and protecting Ukrainian airspace 24/7. I’ve already taken the first steps—participating twice in the Technovation Challenge, where I developed apps aimed at tackling bullying and environmental issues. This experience taught me how to turn an idea into a product and how technology can be used for social good. I’ve also contributed to research for the foresight study The Future of russia 2040: Impact on Ukraine and Europe, which was later presented at the UN General Assembly’s Future Summit in New York. I believe that analytical work like this plays a crucial role in peacebuilding and shaping security policy. In July 2025, I took part in The Peace Walk program in Northern Ireland, organized by Yale University, which deepened my understanding of post-conflict societies and the value of dialogue. I’ve also joined several Erasmus+ exchange programs on information verification (France), social inclusion (Netherlands) and mental well-being (Greece). These experiences expanded my worldview and motivated me to bring those ideas home—whether by introducing psychological support at my college or managing educational projects like EDican for kids in occupied territories. I always try to stay focused on what matters most to me - building a safer future for Ukraine and contributing to global security.
