Executive Leadership

We are a women-led organization grounded in lived experience. Our executive team leads the organization’s strategic decision-making and program design. The team includes two survivors of the war in Ukraine, supported by the professional expertise of Dr. Anna Lordan, who has substantial experience in university-level education. We design our programs to respond directly to the realities young people face today based on the challenges each of us have personally

Anastasiia Vlasenko

Vice President

Anastasiia Vlasenko is a team member of Brave Generation, driven by her lived experience in Kherson during the full-scale Russian invasion of 2022. After enduring six months under occupation, she escaped to Europe just weeks before a missile strike destroyed her family’s home. This personal loss fuels her dedication to supporting Ukrainian youth in rebuilding their lives and continuing their education. Her journey parallels that of Brave Generation’s founder, Tetiana Kotelnykova, who experienced occupation in Eastern Ukraine in 2014 and again in Kyiv during the 2022 invasion. Together, they bring a rare firsthand understanding of war’s long-term impact across regions, timelines, and stages of resistance, making their work both urgent and deeply personal. Anastasiia is currently studying International and Diplomatic Studies at the Prague University of Economics and Business. She serves as a Young European Ambassador for EU NEIGHBOURS East, representing Ukrainian youth internationally, with a focus on occupied territories. As Head of the Horizon European Research Program for Generation for Ukraine, an initiative of the Ukrainian Embassy in Prague, she develops research frameworks and policy recommendations. She also serves as a Ukraine Reconstruction Policy Intern under Tomáš Kopečný, the Czech Government Representative for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, contributing to postwar policy planning and humanitarian aid delivery. Beyond these roles, Anastasiia actively participates in Erasmus+ projects on youth reintegration and inclusion and collaborates with the Emile Foundation on initiatives to return illegally deported Ukrainian children from Russia.
